Leadership
The Chairperson provides overall strategic direction and represents the Commission at the highest level.
The Commissioners provide oversight and expert guidance through specialized sub-committees (Accreditation, Quality Assurance, Research & Development, Policy & Strategy).
The leadership of NCHE comprises a Chairperson, a Deputy Chairperson, and 13 Commissioners, appointed in accordance with the Higher Education Law.
The Deputy Chairperson assists the Chairperson and acts in their absence.
The Secretary General serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Commission. This role combines the former position of Executive Manager, making the Secretary General solely responsible for day-to-day operations, staff management, administration, and implementation of Commission decisions. The Secretary General also signs all official correspondence and represents the Commission in operational matters.
